My name is Adila, and I am a Counselling Psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
I have worked in mental health for over 10 years, with extensive experience across Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and Adult mental health services. I have supported adults, children, young people, and families experiencing complex emotional and behavioural difficulties. Alongside this, I have worked in a range of NHS services and the private sector, including inpatient, outpatient, and specialist teams.
Throughout my career, I have provided individual, group, and family-based interventions, supporting both adults and children with a wide variety of psychological needs.
I have a particular interest in culturally informed practice and am committed to offering a sensitive, thoughtful approach that recognises the influence of culture, identity, and lived experience on emotional wellbeing.
About me
I aim to provide a safe and reflective space for the clients that I work with. I have experience of using a number of different therapy models which I have listed below. I enjoy working using an integrative approach to therapy as I feel this enables me to tailor therapy to your individual needs. Having worked with a diverse population, I value the significance of working cross-culturally. I’m mindful of your individual and cultural values as well as how our backgrounds can shape our experiences.
