About me

My professional background

My name is Adila and I'm a Counselling Psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

I completed my Psychology BSc at Brunel University and undertook a Doctorate in Psychology at the University of East London.

I have been working in the mental health field for over 10 years. My professional background includes working in mental health hospitals and outpatient clinics in the National Health Service (NHS) as well as the private sector.

I have facilitated individual, group and couples therapy. I also currently work in a local CAMHS (Children and Adolescent Mental Health Service).

my approach

I aim to provide a safe and reflective space for the clients that I work with. I have experience of using a number of different therapy models which I have listed below. I offer an integrative approach to therapy as I feel this enables me to tailor therapy to your individual needs.

Having worked with a diverse population, I value the significance of working cross-culturally. I'm mindful of your individual and cultural values as well as how our backgrounds can shape our experiences.
